      <image:title>Grief - Grief</image:title>
<image:caption>Grief is the natural psychological, physical and social response to an irretrievable loss. And because everyone is different, everyone experiences grief differently. There are no mandatory “stages”, “checklists”, “tasks”, or “timelines” in a person’s grieving process. Everyone’s personality is unique to them, and everyone’s personal circumstances differ too. My approach to counseling those who are grieving takes all of these factors into account. And grief does not only follow from the loss of a loved one. Feelings of grief can also be provoked by many other disruptive life events - the loss of a job, the loss of financial security, the loss of familiar lifestyle comforts - they can all lead to acute sadness and depression. I help people of all ages and backgrounds to address their grief and integrate it into a rich and meaningful future.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Pet Loss - Pet Loss</image:title>
<image:caption>The grief that we feel over the loss of a pet can be as real and as natural as the grief we feel over the loss of a human relative or friend. And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I know it hurts. But that hurt will recede over time and you will be left with a rich store of happy, funny and meaningful memories. For now though, if you find yourself being distracted, confused, unable to eat or sleep, and generally feel depressed, don’t worry. As any Grief Counselor will tell you, those are all the natural symptoms of the grieving process. And it is a process. No one gets over such a significant loss immediately. You’ll be missing your pet for days, weeks, perhaps months, and that’s OK. After all, they were a major part of your life. They depended on you to feed, house and comfort them and do the very best for them when they were ill. And in turn, you depended on them for companionship, understanding and love. It’s no wonder that you miss them and wish that they could have stayed with you just a little bit longer. Counseling will help you adjust to your loss, and learn to treasure those happy times.</image:caption>
